Madhu Y. N. – Author

Madhu Y. N. hails from Tumakuru district, Karnataka. He completed his schooling at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Tumakuru, earned an Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication from Global Academy of Technology, Bengaluru, and pursued a Master’s degree in Software Systems from BITS Pilani. He began his professional career at Infosys, Mysuru, and is currently working with IBM, while residing in Bengaluru.

A well-recognized voice in contemporary Kannada literature, many of his short stories have won prizes in prestigious literary competitions. His debut short story collection Karehannu received the Ee Hottige Short Story Collection Award (2019).

Madhu Y. N. is also known for uniquely combining technology with storytelling. Dark Web is widely regarded as the first Kannada book to present technological concepts in a narrative format. Following this, Artificial Intelligence – in Simple Kannada gained attention as the first Kannada book dedicated entirely to AI for general readers.

His second collection, FIFO, was appreciated for introducing a fresh and experimental narrative style. His novel Kanase Kaadumallige stands out as a rare Young Adult work in Kannada, blending humor and romance, and has earned wide reader appreciation.

He currently writes a fortnightly column titled “TechPost” for Vijaya Karnataka, focusing on science and technology. Through lectures, literary forums, and awareness programs, he actively engages audiences on topics such as technology safety and artificial intelligence.

His latest novel, “Inthi, Poorvi.”, has been recently released, adding another significant work to his diverse and impactful literary journey.
